Terms and Conditions
  • This quote is inclusive of GST on equipment and installation charges. The solar credits POS discount is GST free unless you are a business registered for GST. If that is the case GST will be added to that discount making the discount larger by 10% and therefore reducing your outlay. Please contact us to revise the quote if that applies to you. No other taxes are applicable.
  • Currently new installations are generally occurring within four weeks of an order being placed however this is dependant on SA weather conditions and can not be guaranteed during winter.
  • If you are using tilt frames on a flat roof your installation will require Local Council approval and a development application fee will be charged by them. If we prepare the documentation and submit the application for you we will charge you $110 to do so in addition to their application fees. You are welcome to take care of this process yourself if you wish. The specifications required by them can be found above.
  • Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
  • Solaworx Australia Pty Ltd warrants that the installer of a system will be suitably qualified and experienced; will be duly licensed or registered; and, in the case of a solar electricity system, will be accredited for installation of solar electricity systems by the Clean Energy Council.
  • Solaworx Australia Pty Ltd warrants that, if and when a solar electricity system is installed, the installation will comply with all relevant Australian standards or, where they do not exist, with the relevant international standard and with all relevant codes of practice, building codes, local government and legislative requirements.
  • Solaworx Australia Pty Ltd will repair any damage to your property that is caused by the installer of a system provided that you notify Solaworx of that damage within 3 months after installation of that system.
  • The performance of a system is subject to a number of variable factors (including, but without limitation, the number of hours of sunlight, cloud cover and weather patterns, the location of the system and the location of surrounding structures and flora).
  • Solaworx Australia Pty Ltd warrants that, if and when any system is installed, Solaworx Australia Pty Ltd will use its best endeavours to install that system in a position that is likely to maximise the performance of that system.
  • Every attempt will be made to supply and install Solar Panels and Inverters from suppliers as promoted, however if stocks are unavailable at time of installation we reserve the right (and only with your consent) to substitute products of equal or better specification, quality and value.

SA Power Networks Power Metering Charges and Requirements
In addition to the charges payable to us for your system and quoted above, you will be required to pay for the installation of an appropriate import/export meter to measure the power you buy from and sell to your energy retailer. In all cases, SA Power Networks (SAPN) will invoice you directly for the cost of the meter change, not Solaworx Australia Pty Ltd.
A single phase import/export meter costs $309.29 as at 20/2/2017. A three phase meter is $364.99.

We will organise the SAPN SEG (Small Embedded Generator) approval of your system and for the installation of your new meter by SAPN if one is required. It generally is unless one is already in place. For a new home construction we will liase with your builder if required to ensure the correct meter is installed.
Small Embedded Generators are defined for the purpose of the Guide as embedded generator installations complying with the relevant Australian Standard AS4777 (grid connection of energy systems via inverters), parts 1, 2 & 3. For installations complying with AS4777 with grid connected inverters, SAPN will connect single phase installations up to a maximum of 10 kVA and three phase installations up to a maximum of 30 kVA. SAPN approval to connect an SEG strictly relates to the technical compliance and suitability of the proposed equipment to be connected to the Distribution Network. SAPN SEG approval in no way implies that the applicant will be eligible to receive a PV Feed-in Rebate or other subsidies from other Government-sponsored schemes that may be applicable from time to time.
After your Energy Retailer approves the meter replacement application - the Form A - ( i.e. we submit your SEG approval # to them for you) you will then be eligible for feed in tariffs under the State Government scheme.

STC Point of Sale Discount
IMPORTANT
"Solar Panels convert the energy from the sun into electricity. Under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme, eligible solar panel systems are entitled to a number of small-scale technology certificates (STCs). This is based on the estimated amount of electricity in megawatt hours (MWh) the system generates over the course of its lifetime. Small-scale technology certificates used to be called renewable energy certificates or RECs.
Your STCs can be assigned to registered solar panel Agent (such as a retailer or installer) in exchange for a financial benefit such as a discount off your invoice." (from

This amount is based on the price of STCs on the day you requested a quote and is an estimate only of the value of the discount on the day of installation and may rise and fall according to the market price for STCs prevailing on installation day and changes in Government policy.
The STC prices and quantities applicable to your installed order and to your STC POS discount will be those applicable on the day of installation.
STC prices are set by a market based system and can vary day to day and within the day. It is not possible to always update this quoting website immediately to reflect changes in STC prices. For more information on STCs please see the Green Energy Trading
